hello!!! anybody there!!! hey where's all of u..... awwwww no one's reading my blogs anymore.....

haha its been a couple of weeks since i last blogged ( a many couple of weeks lol ) and i guess no one's gonna read this blog which i gonna post... let's see where i left off..... oh! its my TP!! nah.... failed it... bugger cyclist sabo-ed me on the way back..... hogging the left lane with his perpetual swerving of his unstable bike, caused by an unknown heavy object slung tight on thr back seat. had 16 points due of the unfortunate event, and thus, my next tp will be at 18 March... which im confident i'll pass, provided cyclists steer clear of my path.........

and so goes forth my block leave and year 2004 arrives! basically there is nothing to do in camp anymore exp to rot around... and await for chinese new year celebrations to arrive.... had many great feasts... not to mention sore throats which come complimentary , and lastly gambled and won quite a neat sum of money... mostly from mahjong..... mahjong freaks out there... im one too... do call me if u need another player aye?

and after chinese new year i awaited to fly to new zealand! looking forward to this trip for so long..... going there for training exercises and evaluation... live firing and stuff. the 10 hour trip to auckland was unbearable, as i suffered constant sinus congestions and runny nose...couldnt sleep well too ( damn the economic seats ). when we arrived we were greeted by a rainy afternoon, and we ahd to wait a while before we board the coaches which would bring us to our camp located at Wairuou ( forgot the spelling ). As the coach raced along the highways we were treated to spectacular landscapes which singapore could nv offer...... the grass IS greener on the other side.....

the trip to the camp was 7 hours , which i dozed off and wake up to find myself in the camp already... our living quarters was excellent, it was a 4 man bunk with sufficient cupboards and the door can only be opened by a keycard... stylo eh?? And did i mention that the food they cook there is marvellous? Fantastic? Unbelievably palatable for army food? U gotta believe it man cuz one serving's always not enough ; food is served buffet style and u can have as many servings as u want... juz dun get caught by the mess officer.... yum! think i got fat...

And as with any camp, canteen service is always available , only this time the term Cafe would be more appropriate. Prices there are quite high...meals ranging from 10 to 16 dollars and bottled drinks nv less then 2.50. haiz... wud to do.. stuff in new zealand does cost more.... ( NZ$1 = S$1.16 )

After a few days of preparations the entire battalion moved out for exercise. Weather conditions were very tough... Cold temperatures that drop to almost 5 deg. C at night and raging winds challenged us everyday, every night. Gloves were a must, and we had to use sleeping bags to sleep in, otherwise we would be freezing every night. But above all, there's always 1 thing that soothes me everyday, and that's the scenery. There's this mountain called Mt. Ruapehu which stands magestic , almost like a sleeping sentinel towering over us, watching us... i took some pics of them , one of which is the sun rising over the mountain... i think i got 1 of it..... the scene is just so stealing.

i think it's been a long blog aint it?
